Position Summary:
This role is vital to support our internal process and customer need for flat cut product. As such, a unique blend of the following characteristics is a must:

· Ability to read both calipers and tape measure to fraction or decimal dimensions

Job Responsibilities:
· Locate and ensure correct material is delivered to work center
· Learn and apply Robot procedures
· Learn and implement safety policies
· Learn to follow a WPS
· Assist higher level robot operator and receive hands on experience and training.
· Supervision level: Medium
· Can stack parts when needed
· Ensure machine is working properly, specifically that plasma heads are level, coolant level is adequate, and consumables are in good working condition
· Ensure appropriate nesting program is delivered to work center
· Ensure nesting program matches print with work order
· Ensure that the correct gas, speed and consumables are applied correctly
· Accurately project completion of work orders at work center
· Complete assignments on-time and correctly
· Ensure jobs are staged correctly after completion
· Continually maintain a clean working environment
· Ensure vacuum table and Torit dust collector are working properly
· Empty dust collector as necessary
· Notify Supervisor when slats on the water/air table need to be replaced
Minimum Requirements:
· 6 months of comparable work experience minimum
· Must be able to dimension material thickness and part dimensions accurately
· Must be able to read and understand prints
· Must be able to read and understand measuring devices
Preferred Requirements:
· Work experience with plasma equipment
· Work experience in a manufacturing environment
· Ability with plasma and oxyfuel cutting
· Detailed skill with various prints and drawings
· Knowledge of 5S.
Environment/Physical Requirements
This position is carried out in a fabrication shop environment and as such has the following physical work requirements:
· Must be able to lift 100lbs
· Must be able to step up to plasma platforms and tabletop
· Position may require bending, kneeling, and stooping.
· Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors and chemical
1st and 2nd shift openings.
